Founded in 1863, Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) is the nation’s oldest orthopedic hospital with more than 25,000 surgical procedures performed annually.
HSS is nationally ranked #1 in orthopedics, and #3 in rheumatology by U.S. News & World Report (2013-2014). HSS selected Classroom24-7 to help define their global online education strategy to efficiently and effectively go to market.
Recognizing the growing need for a robust online education program, Hospital for Special Surgery wanted to leverage its top-tier reputation to create the HSS eAcademy, a premier destination for Orthopaedic CME, surgical videos, and other musculoskeletal education. HSS looked to Classroom24-7 to advise on its online education strategy and drive growth while maintaining HSS’ longstanding reputation as the “Most Trusted Educator”.
HSS and Classroom24-7 worked closely to create HSS’ eAcademy and define a strategy for HSS to grow while maintaining institutional brand integrity. Classroom24-7 not only provided the critical technical infrastructure needed to drive eAcademy’s growth, it provided the HSS team with business and staffing planning, marketing, sales strategy and helpdesk support.
These strategies resulted in eAcademy becoming a recognized and trusted destination for education in musculoskeletal health, reaching professionals around the world and becoming a strategic asset and a critical part of HSS’ domestic and international partnerships.
